Thank You Blacksmith Project
Thank you very much to the Blacksmith Project in McHenry County for hosting a fundraising concert to benefit the Crystal Lake Food Pantry in February 2010.
An array of Christian musical artists from our area came out to share their talents with the community and raise money and food for the pantry.
We appreciate all their hard work and support to make sure that no one goes hungry.
Scouting for Food
Keep a look out for area Cub and Boy Scouts as they begin their food drive campaign your neighborhood this week. Scouting for Food ends on Saturday, March 6, 2010. Please be generous as scouts come to collect food for those in need. Thank you in advance to these boys who will be working hard to collect the food.
Empty Bowls Project—March 11th
Students from CL South High School are involved in a project called Empty Bowls. Students will be selling plates and bowls they made and painted. The evet will be held on the evening of Thursday March 11th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at South High School in the main entrance and all the proceeds will benefit the
CL Food Pantry. View Poster

10% of your purchase will benefit CL Pantry.

Glacier Ridge Paws for the Pantry:
Moving our Feet to Help People Eat!
On May 16 the students, staff and family members of Glacier Ridge Elementary School will participate in
a 1 mile/5K run. They will be collecting food as well as pledges for their participation in the run. The event is a fundraiser for the Crystal Lake Food Pantry.
Keep a look out for them in your neighborhood and support their great efforts.

Thank you to Sunstar America for their generous donation of 506 pounds of toothbrushes and dental care items in February.
Thank you to Hussman Elementary School for a donation of money and 230 pounds of food. As well as North Elementary School which collected 775 pounds for food for the pantry.
Another big thank you to St Thomas Church-2nd grade religious education program and their contribution of 51 pounds of food and money. Also, St. Elizabeth Seton, religious ed. Classes which collected 2600 pounds as a Lenten kick off.
Thank you to Trinity Oaks Christian Academy for their donation of money and 84 pounds of food to the pantry.
Thank you to all who came to the Open House in February to rededicate the building and honor all of the donors that made the new building possible.
